Valerio Vettori

musician, composer
I’m an uilleann pipes, clarinet and tin-whistle player. The music I play ranges from traditional folk tunes (mainly Irish) to improvisation and my own compositions.
I grew up in Bassano del Grappa, a little town in northern Italy. At the age of twenty I started travelling around Europe, South America and Australia, joining other musicians in gigs, sessions and street performances. From my busking background comes “The Market Day” my first solo EP.
I perform as a solo musician, in duo with harpist Sophie Liebregts, as a member of the balfolk band Rolling Around, in the neo-trad project Circle Dream with pianist Michele Bargigia and during the poetry readings by Marta Telatin.
I also make uilleann pipes reeds.
I'm currently based in Padua.
